A Reason For Every Season
by Barri Armitage
Yes! We can rest assured that though weeping lasts for a night, joy will come in the morning. God’s Kingdom will bring the dawn. The Lord is our Shepherd Who will meet all our needs. Day by day, nothing shall we lack. God has an appointed time and purpose for every season of our lives--and the lives of all mankind. We need not grow weary in doing well even if we see our body weaken. He will carry us to the end and cause us to bear fruit. Praise God, Who can do all things! His wheel of time will keep turning. The trumpet blast of Jesus Christ’s return will come! Until then, He allows seasons of affliction, but when we are wrapped in the garment of praise, we will see that all works out for our good. If we let the grain of self fall to the ground, a bountiful harvest of life will abound. God will give recompense for our loving service to Him and others, for He has mercy on the merciful. As servants wait for their master, we wait for God’s salvation to come. Though we sigh and cry now, the darkness will finally turn to that Day when all will know Him! Oh, how our soul longs for our Lord to come back. Dear brethren, meditate and give God praise in all that happens, high times and the low. Think on Him and His perfect faithfulness. Think on His Kingdom when all sorrow will cease. Think of the joy when the earth is turned to righteousness when Christ restores all things! O brethren, think on these things.
